Consider Having an Indoor Wedding

Just because the sun’s out doesn’t mean you absolutely must celebrate outdoors! In fact, an indoor wedding venue can be just as summery and stunning as an outdoor one. It can also be much more comfortable for you, your spouse-to-be, and your guests in the heat of the day. Venues that welcome in plenty of sunlight or allow you to decorate it with summertime lanterns or fairy lights might be the answer you’re looking for!

Keep Everyone Hydrated

When the mercury rises it’s vital that you and your guests remain as hydrated as possible. Set up a refreshment station to help everyone quench their thirst on your special day! Bottles of water, fruit-infused water, coconut water, and lemonade are all excellent choices (and also look nice in photos!).

There’s just something magical about the way the radiant colors of the sunset dapple the gorgeous rolling hills of the Saline Creek River Valley.

Tone Down the Dress Code

Summer and heavy fabrics like brocade or taffeta don’t tend to mix well. Opt for lighter attire so you and your guests can celebrate your big day comfortably. Lighter, more flowing fabrics are the answer to staying cool in the summer. Think fabrics like luxurious silk or lightweight linens to keep everyone looking chic without leaving them sweltering.

Stay Cool With Frozen Refreshments and Treats

Nothing is more welcomed on a stifling summer day than a refreshingly cold treat. Celebrate the season by providing popsicles and your favorite flavors of ice cream with choice toppings at the dessert bar.
