It Has Been A Winning Year for Chaumette Vineyards & Winery

It Has Been A Winning Year for Chaumette Vineyards & Winery

Chaumette Voted 7th in the United States in USA TODAY National Poll for Best Winery Restaurant

Although it may be best known for its wines, Chaumette also hosts extraordinary weddings, has an outstanding culinary program and luxury villas for overnight accommodations. All of these facets of Chaumette have been carefully developed over the years to the successes they are today. It all began when owner, Hank Johnson, turned his love for business and viticulture into his livelihood when first opening the Tasting Room at Chaumette in 2003. With a desire to educate and excite people about Missouri wines, he knew Chaumette needed more. That is why he decided to build the ballroom for couples that fell in love with the beautiful grounds at Chaumette and wanted to get married amongst the vineyards. Then the Grapevine Grill came about just a few years after opening the Tasting Room, followed by the development of the Villages at Chaumette. Lastly, the Wedding Barn became Chaumette’s second wedding venue in 2011, adding a more contemporary setting as an alternative to the lovely St. Vincent’s in the Vineyard Chapel. All of these areas of business are ingrained in Chaumette’s identity and the winery is proud to announce that this year each of those areas has received prominent awards within its industry category.
